MEET OUR DENTAL TEAM

Dr Arena attended the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1994. For more than two decades, he’s been crafting custom care plans for patients of all walks of life in the community.

From an early age, Dr Arena was interested in how dentistry could positively impact people’s lives while also profoundly improving their general health. This was enough to set him on his journey to becoming a dentist, changing lives, and crafting beautiful smiles along the way.

In order to provide the best care for his patients, Dr Arena participates in continuing education courses throughout the year that help him stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in the field that will ultimately benefit his practice.

When he isn’t crafting beautiful smiles at Arena Dental, Dr Arena likes to spend time with his young and busy family while also pursuing his musical aspirations — he’s also a keen guitarist!

DR. DEMA WALEED

Dentist

Dr Waleed is a general dentist with more than 10 years of experience holding private and public, academic and clinical positions in New Zealand and Australia. Dr Waleed has been tutoring dental students since 2012. She was awarded the New Zealand Ministry of Health Research Award in 2016.

Dr Waleed provides a wide range of general dental care at our clinic including: full oral health assessment, preventative care, oral health education, restorative dentistry, dental extraction, removable and fixed teeth replacement and emergency services. She is known for her thorough, empathetic and patient-centered approach. She speaks three languages: English, Arabic and Kurdish.

Outside the clinic, Dr Waleed is a busy mum of two young boys, enjoys walking, reading and travelling.
